State electricity company PT PLN has signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract with Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation to carry out coal-fired power plant (PLTU) Lontar expansion project with a capacity of 315 MW. The project is part of the government’s 35,000 MW ambitious power plant program.
The power plant will be built on 11 hectares of land, within the location of PLTU 3 Banten-Lontar, in Tangerang, Banten province.
